Frolona Farms is an organic farm near Franklin GA. Every year, they hold a celebration, which ends up around a giant bonfire. Here’s what they have to say:
We are a celebration of local music, food, and folkways in the beautiful rolling hills of West Georgia. Located at Frolona Farm, a 600 acre historic working family farm, the festival nestles itself amongst the 1800s farm structures and stretches across the picturesque pastures. Bring the family to enjoy southern roots music, old time music jams, a much loved hollerin’ contest, and late-night revelry featuring Black Sheep Ensemble! Share a meal with friends and support our local farmers by visiting our food vendors serving up Frolona Farm meat and local fresh veggies. Kick up your feet to a traditional contra dance in the open-air hay barn and dig deep for a traditional work song workshop by Max Godfrey. We always celebrate the night with a huge bonfire and more pickin’ so bring your tent for camping in the fields and stay with us for yoga and coffee on Sunday morning.
